Volume XII Issue 2 February 2009
As I write this letter, the Pro-Life March in Washington, D. C. is going on.
As Knights, thank you for what you have done in your parishes to support the
ONE ROSE-ONE LIFE CAMPAIGN. Thanks to Bro. Mark Masur for heading up
this project. Also do what you can in signing the post cards to our congressman to
oppose the “Freedom of Choice Act”. President Obama has stated that he will
sign it into law if it arrives on his desk.
Our Knights of Columbus Fish Fry season is just around the corner and Bro.
Ken Polacek is our chairman. Bro. Ken says we are starting on Friday Feb. 20th.
Please do your part! It’s a nice project and you get to know your fellow Knights
and it’s a very significant fund raiser for our council, so we can continue to donate
to great projects that we support. Bring your families and neighbors and enjoy
some great fish and fellowship.
Thanks to so many who have made our Annual Awards & Recognition Banqueta
a success. A special thanks to Bro. Larry Zimmer and Bro. Chuck Topil who
have spent a great deal of time and talent on the project to make it a success. As I
watched our fellow Knights come forward to accept the various awards, I thought
of what it means to be a member of the Knights of Columbus. I thought of all the
goodness, all the charity, all the service and love of the Catholic Church that this
group of Catholic gentlemen called the Knights represent. To me it was awesome
and heart warming! It is a time for me to be very proud as Grand Knight of your

along with others getting our Knights of Columbus Hall in shape. Thank You
