Cumbria Calendar Girls 2010 has been created to search out the

ultimate girl next door and transform her into a sexy calendar model.



These girls will be aged 17-35 (under 18’s must have parents

consent) and reside in Cumbria or the North West of England and

they will be professionally styled and photographed by the Kells

Team.



The images in the calendar will be classy and professional and will

be sponsored by local businesses. Therefore each model will have

the modelling assignment of modelling for a local business to

promote their products. (see Kells website commercial section for

examples)



The calendar will go on sale locally with proceeds being donated to

two charities

• Local Charity - The Barrow and District Disability Association

• National Charity - Make a Wish Foundation - UK



As well as the Calendars going on sale, each model will be set a

challenge to sell as many calendars as possible. The model who

sells the most calendars will win an extra amazing prize, she will

become Cumbria Calendar Girls 2010 – Billboard Model and she

will appear on a Billboard in Barrow-in-Furness in January to

advertise the success of the calendars and the forth coming Miss

Cumbria 2010 competition.

HOW DO I APPLY?



Step 1 - Complete Your Registration Form

The Cumbria Calendar Girls 2010 is about more than just modelling on your registration

form you will be asked questions. This is your opportunity for you to stand out from the

crowd.



Step 2 – Attend Your Registration Day

On your registration form you will be given a registration date and time. If you want to be

considered you must attend this day. There is also a £10 administration fee payable on the

day. There will be approx 20 girls attending the registration day. Please dress to impress

to show your style in both what you are wearing and your personal presentation as you will

have a photo-shoot and these images will be used to represent you in the competition.

Registration Process

- Check in – hand in form and pay £10 admin fee.

- Photo-Shoot – 1 headshot and 1 full length image will be take by our photographer

- About the Competition – The organisers inform you about the Comp and what is

involved.

- Over to You – You tell us about yourself (basically what you have written on your

registration form)

- Finish. – You will be contacted that evening to be told if you are in the final.



Each person’s registration process is in private and will be relaxed and informal. This is

just a chance for the organisers to meet you in person and for you to tell them a bit about

yourself. The registration process for each individual person will take about 5 minutes

maximum. Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent.



THE GRAND FINAL - Fri November 6th at The Nines

The Grand Final will be a fashion show starring all of the finalists (approximately 40

Finalists). All finalists will attend rehearsals and receive catwalk coaching from

professionally experienced models.

Finalist must be available from 630pm. The show will also have live entertainment with the

models being the stars of the show throughout the evening.



Tickets – On Sale on 1st September.

VIP £15 –waitress service, table bookings and get in early to avoid the queues. (limited

tables available and they must be booked in groups of 14 or 15)

£10 – standard tickets

Every Ticket is a vote.



How are the winners choosen?

There will be 12 winners

1- Decided by an evening mail online vote

1- Decided by the audience

10- Decided by the judges.



Who are the judges?



- The judges are business professionals who have sponsored the competition.

- Finalists will not meet the judges until the night of the show

- The Kells team do not judge the competition.



THE WINNERS PHOTO-SHOOTS

All of the winners will be allocated a month and a business to represent. Each winner will

be professionally styled and photographed by the Kells team either at the studio or on

location. The Kells team will decide which winner will be given which assigment.



The winners photo-shoots will take place week commencing 8th November. The Calendar

will be produced and on sale at the end of November until 31st of December.



Each model can take orders for presales as of November 8th. Remember taking part is

also about raising money for charity and the donation will be split 50/50 to our chosen

charities.



All finalists must be available for January Celebration Ball when the donation will be

presented to the Charity – (date TBC)



BARROWS TOP MODEL FUNDRAISER



The model who raises the most money for charity will become the Billboard Model and part

of the Miss Cumbria 2010 advertising campaign (Miss Cumbria is the next competition to

be organised by The Kells team and it will run from Jan until June. This competition is a

qualifier for Miss England beauty contest)



Her Calendar image will be on a billboard in Barrow throughout January and there will be a

grand unveiling, she will also present the giant cheques of the amount raised to both the

charities at the January Celebration Ball.
