11. The manuscript, or one on the same topic, is not currently or has not been previously the subject of an
investigation based on the ethical conduct of the study, or concerns over fraud, fabrication, plagiarism,
    duplicate publication or authorship/author affiliation.

    Comments:

12. I/we have checked all the references carefully and that they are accurate and correctly formatted (as
detailed in the Guidance for Authors).

I/we have checked that references do not cite retracted articles. Please note that, as stated by the ICMJE:
“Authors are responsible for checking that none of the references cite retracted articles except in the
context of referring to the retraction. For articles published in journals indexed in MEDLINE, the ICMJE
considers PubMed the authoritative source for information about retractions. Authors can identify retracted
articles in MEDLINE by using the following search term, where ‘pt’ in square brackets stands for publication
type: ‘Retracted publication [pt]’ in PubMed.”

    Comments:

13. I/we will allow the Editors to make changes to the manuscript, if accepted for publication, during the editing
process; this should not alter the main points of the paper but is designed to improve clarity and
standardise it for publication in Anaesthesia.
