VACANT POSITION Ward Clerks (2) (Part Time) (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Specialized
Geriatrics, and Complex Continuing Care Programs)
HOURS OF WORK Up to 24 hours/week including weekend coverage. Weekend coverage - 4 hours
each day (Saturday & Sunday) with at least four (4) weekends in eight (8) off.
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Program Managers, and as a member of the appropriate team, successful incumbent is
responsible for providing clerical and staffing duties for the nursing units.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of Grade 12 education
2 years post secondary office administration training
Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital/healthcare setting
Good keyboarding skills with a minimum of 40 wpm
Demonstrated knowledge of computer software with data entry experience
Knowledge of St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital Collective Agreements
Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
Demonstrated commitment to healthy workplace culture
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and problem solving skills
