Corrupted partition table (error starting Windows), i.e. hard disk £175
cannot be reused. Recovered data will be transferred to CD /
DVD disks. Specific files or folders can be recovered. Usual
requests from clients will be – everything from ‘My Documents’,
‘My Pictures’ and ‘My Music’ or any other named folders.
Recovery of deleted or formatted flash memory e.g. from £99
memory card (camera/phone) or USB memory stick
Recovery from ‘sticking’ hard drive head. This includes a new £199
hard drive. Cost may vary if original hard drive is more than 80
Gb. In this scenario, specific named files or folders could not be
recovered. What will happen is that the entire contents of the
hard disk will be recovered in folders. The folders will be
named as Folder1, 2,….etc. Each folder will contain the
extension names for e.g. .doc(for Word files), .xls(for Excel
files). Potential clients must inform upfront if they want us to
recover uncommon application software files as this sometimes
maybe a problem.
Failed electronics on hard disk. This includes a new hard £199
drive. Cost may vary if original hard drive is more than 80 Gb.
Note; there would be a £10.00 return delivery fee in addition to above.
Collection and delivery includes transit liability related to the value of hardware
- no liability for any claims relating to sensitive/sentimental data

General Statement re Data Recovery and Digital Forensics

The data recovery process undertaken does not involve the specific recognition of
files or folders recovered for e.g. when it was created, what it contains, etc..
When a media is to be recovered, it is imperative that we have the written or verbal
confirmation from the client, as the recovery process may involve us opening files and
discuss it with the clients to confirm that it is the files they require.
However, in Raw data recovery, where the entire contents of the hard disk drive are
recovered, there will be a very strong possibility that the some of the data doesn’t belong
to the client. Under this circumstance, we will not be held liable for the data recovered as
the source of the hard disk is from the registered client. It is important that the client is
advised of this prior to accepting the media to be recovered.
Forensic data recovery - the media received undergoes the process of traceability in
conjunction with the investigative organisation (police). The media to be investigated
must be working to enable for it be copied and investigation is carried out on the copied
media. This is not to damage evidence of the original media. A totally separate set of
procedures are adopted for data forensic and this service is available upon request – by
separate quotation.
