University: Faculty of Economics in Subotica was established in year 1960 as a part of
University of Novi Sad which is consisted of 9 faculties. In Subotica we have two branch
faculties separated form University Campus in Novi Sad; one is Faculty of Economics
and the other is Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Economic faculty in Subotica is one of the biggest in the country. It inscribes 900
students each year and it has 5 departments and courses: Finance, Marketing,
International Trade, Agro economics and Information Systems department.
Main educational program is based on graduation degree, but it offers programs and
lectures for postgraduate and masters degree as well.
We also have Institute of Economy as part of the faculty for non-theoretical work
(different kinds of research, projects, cooperation with local companies, etc).

Local Committee: Aiesec in Subotica was found in 1962; very soon after our faculty
was build. LC Subotica was one of the four first formed LC’s in (former) Yugoslavia in
that early period. Since then Aiesec in Subotica is functioning according to Statute and
By-Law of Aiesec in Yugoslavia.
As you can see, our LC is very old and it has very long tradition on the faculty and in the
town. Large number of our professors have been in Aiesec during their student days,
including the current Dean professor Stevan Vasiljev, who was one of the founders of
Aiesec in Subotica and on of the first trainees in 1963.This year we are going to celebrate
40 years of Aiesec in Subotica!
Today LC Subotica has cooperation with all major local companies, media centers and
other student organizations. We have based our activity on exchange and not so much on
projects. Last year we established regional cooperation with local committees in Szeged
(Hungary) and Timisoara (Romania) and we intend to develop it further.
Executive board of Aiesec in Subotica consists of LCP, X Team (two VP’s), HR Team
(two VP’s), VPF, VPM, ER coordinator and IS coordinator, and we have around 15
