2011 Committee Member Application
Dance Bear-A-Thon is a unique fundraising event that works with Children’s
Miracle Network to unite students from across the Missouri State campus in their desire
to help sick or disabled children in southwest Missouri. Dance Bear-A-Thon is a twelve
hour dance marathon that consists of multiple energizing themes, activities,
entertainers, and of course, dancing! Dancers sacrifice one night to make a difference in
a child's life forever.
Committee Members are those responsible for planning and preparing Dance Bear-
A-Thon, either by recruiting dancers, learning dances to maintain morale, calling
businesses for donations, or any other behind the scenes preparations. Committee
members will not only raise money themselves, but also give ideas to new participants
on how to reach their fundraising goal. Money raised from this event helps children
afford healthcare, so by helping plan Dance Bear-A-Thon, you are saving children’s
lives!
