Secretary-General
The Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations (Vienna) presents its
compliments to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and, in accordance with
article IV of the Convention on Registration of Objects Launched into Outer Space
(General Assembly resolution 3235 (XXIX), annex), has the honour to transmit
information on Brazilian satellites Brasilsat-A2, Brasilsat-B1, Brasilsat-B2,
Brasilsat-B3 and Brasilsat-B4 (see annex).

Brasilsat-A2
Name of space object: Brasilsat-A2
Date of launch: 28 March 1986
Location of launch site: Kourou, French Guiana
Launch vehicle: Ariane
Owner of object: Star One S.A.
Orbital parameters Typical for geostationary satellites, Brasilsat-A2
was reorbited on 6 March 2004 from a longitude
of 63 degrees West and an inclination of
6.0 degrees. The satellite is presently in a disposal
orbit, at a perigee of 200 km above the
geostationary orbit.
