Oracle JInitiator FAQ
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions:
Question:
I am unable to launch the forms after logging in to AppsHosting Vision demo.
Answer:
If you are unable to launch the forms, you need to adjust the security or firewall settings.
Please see below for adding AppsHosting to trusted site. If you still have problems, please let us know
what version of Windows you are running and if any firewall or pop-up blocker are running?
Adding AppsHosting to the Trusted Zone
It is suggested that the AppsHosting server be added to the Trusted Zone in Internet Options. This
allows for fewer restrictions on the IS site while retaining more restrictions for public Internet traffic.
This helps resolve issues with Jinitiator installation, Export failure, and file attachment failure.
Add to Trusted Zone: You may need Administrator privileges on the PC to set Internet Options.
Close all browsers. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Internet Options, Security tab, Trusted sites,
Sites button, enter
http://demo.appshosting.com in the "Add this Web site" box, Add button. Apply, OK.
Pop-up Blocker may prevent access to the AppsHosting.
To allow pop-ups from AppsHosting site (recommended): click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Internet
Options, Privacy tab, Settings button (lower right), in the Address of Web Site to Allow box, type
*.appshosting.com (include the asterisk), Add, Close, OK.
To turn it off completely (NOT recommended): click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Internet Options,
Privacy tab, UN-check the Block Pop-ups, Close.
Other pop-up blockers (example: from Google and Yahoo) should be configured to not block
demo.appshosting.com.
