Capitol and Governor’s Mansion Tours (9 am – 4 pm)
We will happily coordinate with our capitol tour guides to extend your visit to
include tours of the historic Main Capitol Building, on any day that you visit and
the Governor’s Mansion, if you will be here on a Thursday or a Friday morning.
You may also call directly to 304-558-4839 to set up these tours.

Supreme Court Chambers (by appointment)
Located on the third floor of the east wing of the Main Capitol Building, tours are
available upon request and reservations are necessary. Call 304-558-2601.

Capitol Food Court (8 am – 1:30pm)
Located on the lower level of the Main Capitol Building, the food court provides a
choice for any appetite. Offerings include breakfast entrees, soup, sandwiches, salad
bar, a grill, a pizza oven, and a daily featured entrée. You can arrange in advance
by calling for boxed lunches by calling 304-558-1086.

West Virginia State Museum Shop (9:30 am – 5:30 pm Tues-Sat; Noon – 5 pm Sun)
Located on the north end of the Great Hall, or the right side as you enter the
Culture Center, the Museum Shop has a variety of mementos and feature items of
exceptional handcrafted art and crafts by West Virginia artists. Selections for
young shoppers are priced under $5 and up. We recommend visiting the shop after
your museum journey and before you pick up your coats and backpacks from the
check-in area next door. You may call ahead for specials and merchandise inquiries

IMPORTANT SECURITY NOTICE

For the safety and security of your students and chaperones we will not respond to
phone inquiries concerning the whereabouts of your group. We will recommend
that callers contact the school. It will be your responsibility to establish a
communication system for emergency calls from parents, school administrators and
fellow teachers. You know your families and peers, we do not. Please ensure that
