distributes convenience food products and
ingredients to retail and foodservice customers
in the UK and Ireland. The company was
founded in 1972 and operates under the trade
name, Greencore Group (UK). Currently, the
convenience foods division owns and operates
12 manufacturing facilities in the UK, and two in
the US. The company manufactures and
distributes chilled and frozen foods under its
own brands – foo.go, Sushi San, Sutherland deli
and Sutherland Spreads alongside produces
licensed products for national and international
branded companies. It principally offers an
extensive range of prepared salads and sushi,
chilled prepared meals, ambient grocery
products, chilled sauces and soups, frozen
Yorkshire pudding, cakes and frozen desserts.
Furthermore, the company operates a fleet of
chilled vans to distribute products to individual
stores. Its key clientele include retailers,
foodservice providers, manufacturers, petrol
forecourts and airlines. During FY2010, HFL
generated GBP782.2 million of the total revenue
from the UK and GBP96.2 million from Ireland.
The company is headquartered in Barlborough,
Chesterfield, the UK.
