HALTOM SPIRIT BOOSTER CLUB
MEETING MINUTES 7/17/06
Meeting called to order at 7pm.
Minutes from the last meeting were read.
Coaches:
Connie asked about mail out. Some of the people had checked their mail that day and received the
packets she sent out and some had not.
Coach Williams accepted the Varsity coach position and the school administration is still looking for
JV and Freshman coaches.
Coach Williams will meet with the team captains and they will run the squads until we get coaches.
Cheer balance mail out were included and they are backwards. If you have a (-) next to the amount,
you owe a balance; if you have nothing next to the amount, you have a credit balance. (Credit
balances will be applied to other things but refunds can not be issued). Freshmen balance sheets were
not attached. They will get their sheets by the weekend with their newsletters.
Physicals need to be current by the 1st day of school.
Competition squad was put on hold – tryouts by the end of football season.
Gym and locker issue ironed out by Coach Burnett before she resigned.
Myspace – inapproprate sites are being monitored: girls will receive punishment- removal from squad.
Clean up sites or get rid of site – including other people’s comments to you.
Buffalo suit was discussed with Coach Romada but we have account balances and accounts are
negative. We have to re-evaluate if we can afford a new Buffalo suit.
Amy obtained prices for the cleaning of the Buffalo suit. Connie suggested that we need someone to
pick up, clean and sew. Side bar for further discussion at next meeting.
Tumbling mats that we had were loaned out to another school and returned to the wrong school.
Richland High School has our mats. When school begins, Coach Williams will contact them and get
them back.
Coach Williams needs 3 first aid kits before practice starts July 31st. Debbie will take care of these.
The Coaches wish list is to have 4 more mats (they would like 7 total for a complete set).
The cheerleader banquet will be held with the football players this year.
Float is yet undecided.
Locker decorations are Thursdays for Varsity, and Wednesdays for JV and Freshmen, and are
mandatory. Demerits wil be issued for non-participation. The number of girls needed at decorations
will be determined at captains meetings.
Fish camp is the 4th. Everyone is going: JV and Varsity will lead the mini pep-rally to be held.
Pictures will be taken – will send out more information.
Committees
President: Connie Webb
Contracts from the football quarterback club are included in the packets. Look over and decide if you
want to purchase a spot for your child. QB club makes funds this way.

incorrect let the Spirit Club know.
Note cards – send to vendors and others . . . if you did not get any, get some now.
Knights Photography is set for September 1st. Connie has not called yet to get committed.
Homecoming is October 27th. Need to set up a committee. Mandatory sign up for the girls to work on
the float. Demerits will be issued for non-participation. A trailer is needed.
