REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Welcome to another summer! New this year is a Kids Craft Class for boys and girls ages 8 to 13.
Again this year, our guide is small; however all the needed information is included. We are no
longer including organizations in which we have no role in their operation. We will however
have their information available for viewing in our office for those groups that provide us with
their information. Many programs have deadlines and late fees so make every effort to meet
those requirements. Please remember our department reserves the right to alter program times
and dates.

PROGRAM REFUNDS
After registering, if it is necessary to cancel, you must notify our office or program
representative, no later than 3 days before the beginning of the program. If this is done you will
be fully refunded for the program. However, after this time, because we have reserved a spot in
the program and in many cases ordered supplies we will not refund your money for any reason.
REGISTRATION FEES
Fees and charges are set by the Parks and Recreation Board and approved by the City Council
during the budget process. We have entered into youth recreational program agreements with
area townships making them equal members by taxing their residents to offset the costs of
running youth programs. The members include the City of Waupaca, Town of Farmington,
Town of Dayton, and the Town of Waupaca. If you reside in these areas you pay the "member"
fee in this guide. If you reside outside this area each program costs $95.00 to participate. Only
residents of the Waupaca School District or those attending Waupaca Schools are eligible for our
programs. Sales tax is included in your fees.

THE WAUPACA CHILDREN'S GARDEN (Class Size Limited to 20 children)
(Boys & Girls Ages 5-12. Children under 5 who have participated in the past will be grandfathered in)
When: Wednesdays 9:00 -10:30 AM (June 9 - August 18)
Where: Swan Park (New Location Near Skate Park)
Costs: $25.00 per Child (Make Checks Payable to Waupaca County Master Gardeners)

Skill Level: No Experience Required - Learn a "hands on" grasp of gardening and other
activities.
Kids Craft Class (Boys and Girls ages 8 to 13) **NEW FOR 2010**
This class offers your child an introduction to a new craft project at each class. They will be able to
complete each project by the end of the each class. Projects include: Painted Flower Pots, Personalized
Mug, Birdhouse, Tie-Dye T-Shirt and Backpack. Materials provided. Class limit is 12.
When: Every Wednesday in June (June 2,9, 16,23,30) from 3:00-4:30
**First class will be from 3:30-4:30 due to school still being in session.

Registration: ***APRIL 19 through MAY 7*** Please register at the City of Waupaca - Parks and
Recreation Department (407 School Street). If your child is not registered by May r: they will be placed
on a waiting list. You will be contacted if a position becomes available on a team. There is a $10 late
registration fee.
Team Placement: Coaches and Team Parents are placed on a team with their own children. All other
team assignments are made on a random basis with age and gender consideration. No special requests.
*New this year - You will receive an information packet in the mail regarding team placement and
your soccer schedule prior to practice week. It is very important a current mailing address is
listed!!
Equipment: Team shirts (provided), shin guards and socks that cover shin guards are required for all
games. Shin guards and socks must be purchased by the individual. Tennis shoes or soccer shoes are
needed. Baseball cleats are not allowed.
Shoe Exchange: a shoe exchange will be held during practice week; some shin guards and socks will also
be available. Bring shoes and an envelope with your name, phone number and price desired for shoes.
Attach envelope to shoes with paper clip or rubber band. Shoes or envelope should be picked up at the
end of practice week or early the next week.

This is the youth version of baseball spring training and helps get your child ready for the regular
season. Learn hitting techniques and drills to make you a successful hitter at any level from the
Waupaca High School Varsity Baseball staff.
