               All About APCA Cooperative Buying
         THE FORM THAT MAKES
              IT HAPPEN!
APCA CO-OP forms are flexible and easy to use! Look below
for the type of interest that meets your needs, fill them out at
the conference indicating which acts you have interest in, and
watch the savings roll in!!

There are several ways to show how interested
you are in a showcasing artist!

                    Attraction Interest -
(This option commits neither party to a binding contract, it only
retains the option for the purchaser to purchase at the pub-
lished APCA conference program price for up to 2 days after
the conference)

When an attraction interest is indicated on a submitted and
signed Cooperative Buying form, the school has indicated that
it is strongly interested in purchasing the attraction. If the inter-
ested school wishes to book an attraction at isolated conven-
tion price structures or join a block, the attractions’ representa-
tive must be notified within 2 calendar days. All requested
additions to a formed block are subject to reasonable travel
and time constraints.

                    Commitment to Block –
When a commitment to block form is turned in to the Coopera-
tive Buying center in the exhibit hall, the school has expressed
its interest to enter into a contract if a block of as many as two
schools are interested in the act on the specific date/s they
have requested. If the block forms within 2 calendar days,
the schools agreeing to the block must contract at the block
price listed for that number plus any travel and lodging, lights,
sound, etc. listed for the attraction in the APCA convention pro-
gram or agreed to by Cooperative Buying form rider.

                   Request Contract –
You have agreed to purchase this attraction onsite at the con-
vention and are bound by the terms outlined in the conference
program. Both parties agree to honor all APCA Cooperative
Buying process guidelines and procedures as set forth in the
APCA convention program.

Hosted by Del Suggs, this conference training showcase event will feature
an actual showcase of various art forms (comedy, novelty, music, etc) that
can be utilized for your campus programming in some clever, creative
ways. The various logistical needs for different types of acts will be ex-

might work in a formal versus late night setting, etc.). Attendees will also
discuss easy presentation and promotion techniques, and learn the proper
etiquette for attending and evaluating artists in showcase situations.

   Wendi Fox - Neon Entertainment - (800) 993-6366
Comedian and former high-risk drinker, Wendi Fox is committed to changing the drug and alcohol climate on
college campuses through the power of humor. Wendi takes a hysterical and mind bending look at the lives
of the drunk and dangerous on our college campuses. Her mission is to inspire students to “Find The Buzz
Without The Booze.” Wendi, has been educating and entertaining college students for over 20 years. A
trailblazer in her field, she was the first speaker in the college market to combine education, inspiration and
stand -up comedy while still sending a strong alcohol awareness message. Wendi is best known for being the
anti-lecture artist. Why? Because, she prescribes to what some call a radial but simple approach to Alcohol
Awareness. “Stop telling them not to drink and start inspiring them to find something in life they love more
   than getting drunk,” says Wendi.

  Jody Fuller - Jody Fuller - (334) 744-0450 - FTE Discount
Jody Fuller grew up a poor, stuttering kid in Alabama. After a four year stint in the Army, he returned home
to attend college. He worked at a pharmacy and survived on the “AND” diet. That’s when everything you
eat has the word “AND” in it: macaroni AND cheese, peanut butter AND jelly, and his personal favorite,
ram AND noodles. In 200, he graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery which, when compared to
the main campus, was much more conducive for the nontraditional student and Jody certainly was that. After
9/, Jody was commissioned in the Army. He recently completed his 3rd deployment to Iraq and continues
to serve in the National Guard. Jody performed at the 2009 Branson Comedy Festival, the 2007 DC Comedy
Festival, and the 2005 HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas. He has also performed for U.S. troops serving in
  the Middle East.
  He still stutters.

The son of a classic rock-fan dad and a country-loving mom, Shawn Fisher started in his teens as a solo
acoustic artist, working the clubs and coffeehouses of his native Jacksonville, Florida. Although he sometimes
performed with his brother Cody on drums and others, it eventually came time to kick things up a few notches,
and Shawn decided to put together a band that matched his increasingly wide-screen pop ambitions. Cherry
picking from the cream of the local rock scene, he assembled Son of a Bad Man—guitarist Jordan Allen Davis,
bassist Brett Barley, and drummer Brad Moxey—who quickly became one of Jacksonville’s top-drawing acts,
appearing with Bryan Adams, Foreigner, Gavin DeGraw, Hinder, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and others. In
2008 the band recorded a self-titled independent EP that went on to sell a formidable 5,000 copies.

Many times T.V. imitates life and then life begins to imitate television. Programs operating on the fringes of
societal acceptance often have a more developed, logical, and inclusive view of our society than the enti-
ties which have a strangle hold on morality in our culture. As a result, television shows, such as The Family
Guy and South Park, are more likely to teach and reinforce the morals and values of young adults than the
real home that they are being raised in. Matt’s variety of programs and outlook on life makes him one of the

  Azhar Usman - Neon Entertainment - (800) 993-6366
Although his parents trace their worldly lineage to India, Azhar Usman was conceived and born in Chicago.
Raised in American suburbia as an Indian-American in a non-White Muslim family, Azhar naturally began to
think of himself as Black. Heavily influenced by anti-establishmentarian rap lyrics, left-leaning political writ-
ings, and with a flare for the philosophical, he stumbled into serious consideration of the origin of the universe
as an inquisitive teenager. After earning degrees in Communication and Law, he co-founded an internet
startup, then practiced law, and then fell in love with standup comedy. He considers himself a “citizen of the
world,” and describes himself variously as follows: “Intellectually White; Emotionally Japanese; Spiritually
Indian; Psychically Persian; Physically Arab; Artistically Southeast Asian; Romantically Latino; and Psychologi-
cally Black.” Today, Azhar is a global standup comedian and co-founder of the “Allah Made Me Funny—Of-
ficial Muslim Comedy Tour” which has toured over 20 countries.

  Justyn Dow - IC Artist Agency - (866) 506-9321
Justyn Dow is a pop/rock artist who calls Minneapolis, MN home. As an only child Dow took solitude with his
guitar, writing songs as a therapeutic hobby. From heartache to happiness, a simple guitar strum woven with
a string of words took the form of a diary. Within that journey, he slowly discovered a passion that pushed
his hobby towards a profession. Although influenced by bands like Kings of Leon, OneRepublic and The Fray,
Dow has a unique sound of his own - driven by distinct edgy-rock vocals and pop-laced melodies. “To me,
writing is a forum to express myself and reflect,” says Justyn. “It’s a diary. A confessional. As an only child,
and a guy, I tend to write about subjects that aren’t easy to publically discuss. It’s a place where I can be open
and honest with myself.” Justyn’s song, “What She’s Doing Now,” was featured on the Indie Music Channel’s
“Indie Music Countdown” and was voted up to #. Since the release of his debut EP “Dim Light Shining” in
February 20, Dow has released over 40 music videos on YouTube, assembled a complimenting backing
band and seems poised to take on the music industry. It’s hard to ignore the momentum.

              Austin Adams - A Jam Production - (888) 714-1936 - FTE & ONSITE Discount
Inspired by melody and driven by story, Nashville based singer/songwriter Austin Adams looks at music as
opportunity to connect the dots. Sharing and singing songs that strike at the heart of life and everything that
comes with it isn’t something original but something essential. On a basic human level, were all dealing with
the same ups and downs. His hope is music can serve as a way to prove that were not as different as we
thought. Infused with rock/pop and alternative /folk elements, his debut EP, “Come Down Easy” is a collection
of stories and simple melodies dealing with trial, struggle, and longing. At the core, we all are looking for
something more than always feeling like were going through the motions. Learning how to deal and pushing
through the dirt and clutter of life, we might see when the storms clear and the dust settles, we learn a little
more about each other and about ourselves.

thousand times before finally deciding to stop in. His debut album, “This Way” goes far beyond the confines

honest, clever and conversational. Levi was exposed to artists like Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers and Donny
Hathaway. In addition to those soul legends, The Beatles, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Jimi Hendrix and Prince
all made their mark on Levi’s musical style and led him to the guitar which was the final piece needed to cre-
ate his sound. With each song he writes, Levi’s goal is timelessness, musicianship, strong lyrics, and shared
experiences. This line of thought is even reflected in the cover songs that Levi chooses to perform.

Keegan Smith is the charismatic front man of an extremely talented group of veteran musicians known as “The
Fam.” During his dynamic performance, Keegan frequently walks and dances through the crowd, energizing
his audience and perpetuating a sense of familiarity that makes them feel at home. Keegan and The band are
known for their improvisational antics and unpredictability. Freestyle singing and rapping, improvised birth-
day mash- up songs, and off the cuff remixes are just a few of the shenanigans that keep the audience on their
toes. The thrill of the ever-changing show and Keegan’s personal involvement and interaction with the crowd is
why the Oregonian writes, “You almost feel like you’re a part of the performance,” and “it’s an out of control
dance party.” For a full bio, complete with awards and accolades, visit keegansmith.com/booking.
