Time taken, quality of service to patients and improve experience for staff and
patients

Video / staff questionnaires / identify frustrations and concerns

What were the implemented improvements?

Time savings/quality to patient/integration with other procedures i.e. medicines /ward
rounds.

What is the situation now?

Improved /changes are now part of normal ward routine.

How is the change sustainable?

   Leadership/nurse in charge must ensure sustainability
   Ownership by staff
   Ensure staff comply with change
   It is in staffs best interest to comply

Measurable outcome

What are the staff benefits?
Staff questionnaires /every day like a Sunday. Team working i.e. meals are now for
all staff to distribute be involved in not only one group of staff.

What are the organisational benefits?

Quality/targets/ fewer complaints
How did staff feel before the improvement/during the improvement and after
the improvement?

Before: frustrations identified
During: hard work to identify frustrations and find solutions
After: sense of achievement

What are the lessons learnt and what would you do differently next time?

Probably involve more staff

Continue with other RTC modules
