The mission of Greater Renton Football Club is to provide premier level opportunities to soccer players in the Greater
Renton area. We provide our players with one of the highest levels of coaching available in Washington in a state of
the art soccer facility. We strongly believe in development of the player both on and off the field.
Welcome to Greater Renton FC! GRFC focuses on the development of the player by providing
the highest possible level of technical training by qualified coaches and trainers to assist players
in achieving their fullest potential and excelling in the sport of soccer. It is my philosophy to ensure
that development of the player is approached methodically without cutting corners. Winning is not
everything, but I am confident that proper development of skills and soccer knowledge will
transpire to a winning formula. GRFC is a member of the PDL and plays against the other top
Premier clubs in the state of Washington.
We appreciate your trust in us and together will work toward developing a great soccer player that
we all can be proud of on and off the field.

Final number of teams is dependent upon assessment of players and number of players committing to the teams.
Typical roster size of each team is anticipated to be about 15 to 17, however the final number is based on the discretion of
the respective coach and may vary based on the circumstances.
Tryouts are comprised of 2 sessions and are grouped by age and gender, based on age as of Aug. 1 . Players are
encouraged to attend all sessions. If you are unable to attend one of the sessions please inform the coach or the staff at
registration. Check the website: www.greaterrentonfc.org for venue, date or time changes.
www.greaterrentonfc.org or Phone: 425-213-6783
The goal of the club is to publish tryout results on the website within 48 hours of the completion of the final tryout sessions
for each age/gender group. Coaches will contact the parent or guardian listed on the registration form to confirm their
interest for playing at GRFC. A parent/player/coach team meeting will be scheduled shortly (generally within 2 weeks)
after team selection. Times and venue will be communicated by the respective coach.
Length of the Season

Regular Season play
GRFC teams currently play in PDL (U16 & U17) & WSPL (U18). A season averages 10-14 games which are typically
played on Sundays.
Most teams play 5 tournaments before the start of the season. They may play tournaments outside the state which require
travel! Decisions on which tournaments will be played are based on the coach’s/DOC assessment of the team.
Initial player fees, including registration, uniforms will be due at the first team meeting / taking care of business night.
Schedules for remainder of the payments will be provided along with the time frame. Average cost to play at GRFC varies
per age group.
Each player is responsible for their own travel expenses.
The GRFC player’s kit includes two numbered jerseys, two pair of shorts, two pairs of socks, numbered warm up jacket
and pants, and a numbered team duffel bag or backpack. Uniforms should be sized to last for 2 years.
Starfire Sports Complex is the home field for practice and games for most GRFC teams and is considered to be one of the
premier soccer field facilities in the country. Away matches will be within WA and vary based on the league/level of play.
Tournaments are both within and outside WA State.
Practices are typically held at a minimum of 2 times per week. They are usually scheduled Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs from
5:00 to 6:30 - 6:30 to 8:00 or 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. based on the availability of the fields. Practice times and locations are
subject to change throughout the year. Team managers will provide adequate advance notice of such field changes.
Academy and Skills Training
GRFC will host specialized skills trainings and soccer academies at various times throughout the year. These sessions
are open to all GRFC players and are based on age. Additional practices for goalies will be scheduled throughout the
year with our GRFC Goalkeeper Trainer Justin Mak.
