Subject: Optional Earned Income Exclusions in the Public Housing and Indian Housing programs.

   This Notice transmits a copy of the Federal Register interim rule, dated August 30, 1996, which
allows housing agencies, willing to absorb the cost, to adopt earned income exclusions from annual
income that will support the efforts of working families.
