Happy New Year from the Tulsa Loft Project!
We start 2008 only three months from completing Tulsa's greenest residential living experience:
NINE - New Inspiration for a Natural Environment
Located at 1409 S. Rockford Avenue in the heart of the exciting and urban Cherry Street District
NINE consists of two contemporary townhomes providing open loft like interiors, roof top
living, great views of downtown, private courtyards, among many other amenities all presented
in a highly energy efficient and environmentally sustainable manner.
As you may have recently seen NINE is completely framed up and has taken on its uniquely
contemporary form. The Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), after a little learning adjustment fit
nicely into place; even around the curved side walls. The SIPs provide unique advantages over
traditional stick building as they are pre-manufactured based on the home’s design
specifications. The manufacturing process generates far less raw material waste. The SIPs
provide a straighter shell with far greater isulative and wind resistive qualities and bond together
to establish a stronger finished form.
The panel manufacturing process took place in Bartlesville, OK, just up the road at USA SIPs
(http://www.usa-sips.com/).

Installation of the green roof will begin soon as well as the water catchment system; two of the
many sustainable elements of NINE that will help the project toward the goal of attaining the
highest LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating from the US Green
Building Council (www.usgbc.org).
In an attempt to share our experience with green building we will be hosting a walk on Saturday,
January 12, 2008 at 9:00am. The architect and partner in Tulsa Loft Project, Shelby Navarro
will provide the tour and will be available for questions regarding the development after the tour
at the Coffee House on Cherry Street at the southeast corner of 15th St. (Cherry St.) and Rockford
Ave.
In the near future look for a list of elements that contribute to NINE’s Sustainable quotient. If
you are unable to make one of the many tours we intend to host and would like to learn more
about any element of NINE please feel free to email us.
Both townhomes are available for sale: please contact our realtor Stephen Meltzer with CBUrban
at 918.557.9118 for more information.
