American Celts Pipes and Drums, based in Keyport, was formed earlier this year to both
celebrate and share our Celtic American heritage. Eager to fully participate in the
community, we have taken part in Keyport’s Food and Music Festival as well as its
Memorial Day Parade. The Keyport events earned us the respect we needed as the “New
Band on the Block” to book events in surrounding communities, in spite of our lack of
complete uniforms. As such fundraising is a necessary bane to purchase equipment,
uniforms and the like.
On November 14, 2008, American Celts Pipes and Drums will be holding its first
fundraiser for the purchase of much needed uniform kilts costing over $500.00 each.
Estimated cost of a complete uniform is $1,300.00 to $1,500.00 per member. There are
currently 15 members and our ranks are growing.
Today, we invite you to become one of our sponsors by advertising in our pamphlet,
which will be distributed at the fundraising event. A quarter of a page is available at
$125.00, $250.00 for half of a page and $500.00 entitles you to a full page. A full page
sponsorship also entitles you to a piper for one affair of your choice for up to one year.
We also invite you to attend our fundraiser taking place at the Keyport First Aid Squad
building located at 1927 Atlantic Street, Keyport, NJ.
American Celts Pipes and Drums is excited about our Celtic American representation of
Keyport at future events all over the tri-state area. We appreciate all contributions in
assuring our success.
