• Backup system stored at NDBC at Stennis Space
Center MS
• Hurricane operations will either be at
NDBC(minimal hurricane), WGRFC or SERFC.
• All text RVF and hydrographs are sent to the
web.
• GIS products are still in development using SRH
graphics server.
National RFC Backup
• Representation from headquarters and
each region
• Requirements and Operations Concept to
be completed by 10/2007.
• Document completed and waiting review.
• Planned Implementation – AWIPS II era
Distributed Modeling
• Testing on 4 headwater sites
(BKNM6,CLSM6,SPHL1,OAKT1)
Distributed Modeling cont.
• Currently run every 3 hours for BKNM6 and
CLSM6. SPHL1 soon to be implemented.
• Uses RDHM
• Reformatted into a card for use with PRDUTIL
and fed into OFS for viewing in IFP via Tulsa
Plot.
• Moved into DHM after OB8.2.
• Calibration continuing for BKNM6 and CLSM6.
Not very good results on automatic calibration.
