Serving Little Elm, Frisco & Celina
not to rush things. Traveling with kids means you have to be flexible enough to
have play time and to answer the barrage of questions that inevitably comes
when children experience something new. “Why do they walk everywhere? 972-624-8511
Don’t they have cars?” “Do they have a Burger King?”

When planning your trip, get your kids involved as much as possible. Give
them brochures or surf the web with them for different attractions that they
could pick from. But also, think outside the box while planning. Use different
approaches for your trip such as visiting a pen pal, researching genealogy or
even home swapping can add a unique focus. Other ideas for inexpensive
things to do, include factory tours and city parks. Also, consider finding a
unique place to stay. One of our favorite memories of the trip was the night
spent in the 12th century castle.

While being prepared can help you through the stressful parts of traveling
with children, don’t forget to enjoy yourself in the moments you didn’t plan.
These will be the moments you always remember.

Brushing your teeth at least twice a day is essential to basic oral hygiene, but we would like to emphasize that cleaning between
your teeth on a daily bases is also a critical part of good dental care. If you are not cleaning in between your teeth, you are
leaving up to 40% of your tooth surface untouched and unclean. This means that food particles could remain on your teeth,
ready to feed naturally occurring bacteria in your mouth that could eventually lead to plaque and the road to gum disease.

While we strongly encourage flossing to remove what your toothbrush cannot reach, there are also other options available
to people who need alternatives to dental floss. Here are some choices you may want to consider:

This is a type of toothbrush that has a very small tapered or cylindrical head with
fine bristles. It is excellent for getting in and around braces and bridges and is also
beneficial for those with widely spaced teeth or implants.

These wooden sticks help clean between your teeth while massaging your gums.

An oral irrigator is a machine that blasts a precise, pressurized stream of water to
clean around the gum line. It can be used with water alone, or with mouth rinse.
Note that this is not a replacement for flossing, but can be a helpful tool to clean
around braces, bridges and implants and can aid those who find flossing difficult
      due to compromised medical states.

Ask us to explain more about these Interdental aids and about tools that make flossing a more efficient process for you.
