Accessing/Logging into eSIS
Introduction
This lesson shows you how to access eSIS through your internet browser, log into the system, change
your password, lock a school, and lock your workstation. The first time you log into eSIS, the school
Data Manager will provide you with a Username and Password. You are strongly encouraged to
immediately change the password to a unique name or set of characters.
Logging into eSIS
1. After opening your web browser, click the Address field.
2. Enter https://esis.ncwise.org.
3. Press Enter on your keyboard.
4. Click in the Username field to enter your username.
5. Click in the Password field to enter your password.
6. Click in the Database field to enter the correct database, supplied by your school data manager.
7. Click the Connect button.
Changing a Password
1. Click Main Menu from the eSIS Main Start screen.
2. Click User Profile.
3. Click the Enter your old password field to enter your old password.
4. Click the Enter your new password field to enter a new password.
5. Click the Verify your new Password field to re-enter your new password.
6. Click the User E-mail Address field to enter your email address.
7. Click the Save button.
8. Click the Exit button to return to the eSIS Main Start screen.
9. Exit eSIS so the new password is activated. Click the Exit button on the eSIS Main Start screen.
10. Click the Yes button on the Student Information System window.
Follow the Logging into eSIS instructions listed above to return to eSIS.
Locking a School
1. Click School from the main menu.
2. Click Select School from the drop-down menu.
3. Click the drop-down arrow in the scroll bar to search for another school to select.
4. Select the desired school from the right side of the screen.
5. Click the Lock School? checkbox to lock the school.
6. Click the OK button to return to the eSIS Main Start Screen.
Locking your Workstation
1. Click Lock from the main menu.
2. Enter your password to unlock the system.
3. Click the OK button to unlock the school.
4. Click the Exit button.
