Dear Brownie Troop Leaders,
We are happy to announce that we are going to be able to have the Brownie Lock-
In on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Elk Grove Village Pavilion!
The cost will be $16 for each Girl Scout and $7 for each adult (the Pavilion raised
prices this year). This event is all-inclusive - food, drink and activities. Please
make sure that each person attending the event is registered with IL Crossroads
Girl Scouts (adults, too).
All troops are responsible for providing their own permission slips, as in the past
each troop must have a minimum of one adult responsible for their girls. We
encourage a much lower ratio of adults to girls and that you invite moms/non-
leaders to attend. They are more than welcome!
We would like to run a food drive for the Elk Grove Township Pantry. Last year
the response was great and we donated 8 overflowing boxes of food!
We have enclosed the following information:
Announcement letter for your troop (attached)
List of necessities for each troop for the lock-in
1. Sheet/blanket for chillin’ and eatin’ in the gym
2. Permission Slips and Health History Cards
3. Laundry baskets to put your troops’ stuff into
4. First Aid Kit
Troop registration form for lock-in (attached) to be returned to Marcia Herrig.
The break out sheet for check in time and swimming time will be emailed at the
beginning of January once we have the attendance totals. Since the staggered
check in times worked so well last year, we are going to continue with it this year.
For new leaders, this means your troop will be assigned to arrive at either 7:00 PM
or 7:20 PM to avoid a mob scene at the check-in station.
If you have any questions, please contact the Vista 6 Registration Ambassador at
V6_RegAmb@ gsvista.org.
