GOOD NEIGHBOR HOUSE — Items to consider donating: Cooking supplies, pots and pans,
can openers, bath towels, bedding, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, laundry detergent and personal
items. Canned items: soups, fruits, sauces, pastas, cereals, crackers. Seasonal clothing is
always needed. A drop-off box for donations is located in the fellowship hall. GNH is located at
844 S Patterson Blvd, Dayton, OH 45402-2623, www.goodneighborhouse.org.
MIAMISBURG HOMELESS BAG PROJECT — Toothbrushes, deodorants, wash cloths, towels,
razors and other personal items are always needed for this well received project. Please mark
donated items ―Miamisburg Homeless Bag Project,‖ and give to Sylvia Kaldahl. Funds to support
making the bags should also be marked ―Homeless Bag Project‖ on your offering envelope.
BLESSINGS IN A BAG — Food items for the ―Blessings in a Bag‖ food program for students at
Miamisburg Schools continue to be collected in the foyer. Monetary donations should be marked
―Blessings‖ on the offering envelope.

needs a visit at home, hospital, or has a concern that needs to be addressed by an Elder they
should contact the Elder on call for that week.

youth of our church will be bringing our message entitled ―My Redeemer Lives‖

SOUL CAFÉ — You are invited to enjoy the Soul Café in the fellowship hall from 9-9:45
each Sabbath morning and then join in one of the classes beginning at 9:45 a.m.
YOUNG ADULT CLASS — The new Young Adult Class meets at 9:45 a.m. in the
fellowship hall. It is taught by Bev Martin.
PASTOR’S CLASS — Those who are interested in studying the basic teachings of the
Bible are invited to join the Pastor‘s Sabbath School class from 10-10:45 a.m. in the
church office. The pastor‘s class topic, continuing in the Book of Revelation, is ―The
Lion, The Lamb and the Throne.‖
FELLOWSHIP DINNER — All are encouraged to stay and enjoy the good food and
wonderful Christian fellowship following our worship experience today.
CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY — Today‗s children's event is a family Sabbath hike at Cox
Arboretum Metropark. Meet at the park located at 6733 Springboro Pike following the
fellowship dinner. We'll have watermelon to snack on after the hike and activities to
GOLDEN BUCKEYE FELLOWSHIP – This afternoon‘s Sabbath Lite features Lonnie
Melashenko speaking about ―Encounters with Angels.‖ The program will be here at the
Miamisburg SDA Church at 4 p.m. Invite your friends and come to this inspiring
KETTERING COLLEGE 43RD ANNUAL COMMENCEMENT — Frank Perez will address
the graduates at the commencement to be held this evening at 8 p.m. at the Dayton
WALK FOR WELLNESS — Thanks to those who have signed up for the Walk for
Wellness. We‘ll see you Sunday, May 1, at Carillon Park. The walk starts at 2:00 p.m.
Vendors open at noon. For those who are signed up, Christy Parfet will give you your
church team t-shirt
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY MEETING — Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at the church. Those
interested in children's ministry are welcome to attend.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH — The next Children‘s Church is May 7.
WEDDING INVITATION — The wedding of Candy (Pohle) Tifft and
John E. Howells IV will take place on May 14 at the Miamisburg SDA Church
immediately after the worship service. A fellowship dinner will follow.
RECUPERATING — Bob Pohle continues his recovery from open heart surgery at the
home of his daughter in Ringgold, Georgia. He can be reached at 423-364-4851,
3575 Cherokee Valley Rd., Ringgold, Georgia 30736. This area was stricken by the
devastating tornadoes on April 27. Candy Tifft‘s family (Pohle/Daugherty) survived with
some property damage, but thankfully no injuries or casualties. Please remember them
in your prayers.
ATTENTION LADIES! — Come to the Garden on Thursday, June 16 at noon for a
relaxing Ladies Tea with friends. This annual women‘s tea returns during camp meeting
this year and will be held at the Mt. Vernon Hill Adventist Church. Space is extremely
limited, so please only reserve tickets if you will definitely be in attendance.

2011 SUMMER CAMP AT MOHAVEN — Join us this summer for lots of fun-filled

CHILDREN’S CHURCH LEADERS — The positions for Children‘s Church Leaders will
be open in August. A small Christian education scholarship is available. Please contact

OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH — As of June 1st 2011 we will not
be able to continue "Praise Chapel" at Elm Creek Nursing and Rehab Center on Alex
Road. This has been a community outreach for Miamisburg Church for over 15 years.

GYMNASTICS HOME SHOW – The annual gymnastics show will be held on Saturday
evening, May 7, beginning at 9 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Admission is free so plan
now to attend for a family evening of fun-filled entertainment!"

MULCH –Triple-sifted ―Tatman‘s Finest‖ Hardwood Mulch is available through any
friendly Spring Valley Academy 8th to 12th grade student. Call the school or complete an
order form and drop it off at the school office to reserve quality mulch. Pick up takes
place on Sunday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SVA, 1461 E. Spring Valley Rd. If
you order a quantity of 45 bags or more, it can be delivered (to one address within 10
miles of the school) to your home and stacked for you on May 15. Mulch sells for $3.25
per bag. Profits help students to pay their class dues. Call the school at 433-0790 and
ask for Cindy Halye, mulch coordinator, if you need more information.
