Your challenge is to produce a
PowerPoint or Movie Maker
campaign to raise awareness of
depression in young people.
The winning group from this session
will go into the whole year group final.
The overall winner will receive a prize
and their campaign will be forwarded
to the Samaritans.
To be put forward into the year
group final, your campaign must :
Include information about the occurrence of
depression in young people, in order to raise
awareness of the illness
Attempt to tackle the stigma attached to
depression in a sensitive way
Put across a strong message of the importance of
positive mental health in young people
Contain advice about what to do if you or a
friend or family member is showing signs of
depression
Include a slogan that will appeal to people of
your age, encouraging them to talk to someone if
they are feeling depressed
