Subject: 2011/2012 - ACFE Vic Government e-mentor Project: Invitation to participate
ACFE is pleased to advise that the ACFE – E-mentoring initiative will commence in August 2011.
This initiative has been offered to Learn Local organisations over the past three years.
Organisations participating in the initiative have successfully introduced or furthered the use of
e-learning in their learning and businesses.
Opportunities for Learn Local Providers in 2011 and 2012
Expressions of interest in participating in this project are now being sought from Learn Local
Providers.
E-learning and information communication technologies (ICT) has become an important
component of learning programs and tools across the education sector in Australia. The ACFE
Board is committed to supporting Learn Local organisations to develop the knowledge and skills
necessary to benefit learners and providers.
The initiative offers an opportunity for organisations who wish to introduce e-learning to their
organisations for the first time or for those who would like to further the use of e-learning in their
programs.
What does the project involve?
Participating organisations will be supported by and work with their regional e-mentor and e-
champions for an extended period to develop a work based e-learning project focusing on either e-
learning or e-business.
Participants will:
learn many new skills and be exposed to a range of e-tools and resources
develop a work based learning plan in consultation with their e-mentor and e-champion
participate in a series of both online and face to face PD sessions
participate in an end-of-project showcase in April 2012.
No prior e-learning experience or ability is required. Organisations new to e-learning are
particularly encouraged to apply.
This project will require a contribution from each organisation in the form of your time to participate.
Each organisation will receive a one-off payment to cover travel and other expenses related to
participation in the project.

The e-mentors and e-champions will be available to:
provide training and mentoring to Learn Local personnel (managers, coordinators, tutors and
information technology staff) in the development of the skills and knowledge needed to
integrate e-learning options into their training delivery, and/or administration
organise regional PD sessions - both online and face-to-face, including a regional meetings
support participating organisations in the integration of e-learning / e-business solutions into
their business planning
liaise with their regional office.

CAE has been engaged to lead this project. The closing date for applications is Friday 19th
August at 5.00 pm.
Successful applicants will be notified in the week commencing 22nd August.
