2011 NITP-TOPREC PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION
NOTICE
The 2011 NITP-TOPREC Examination will be conducted at four (4) centres nationwide in August, 2010. They are: Lagos, Ibadan,
Kaduna and Owerri. Candidates wishing to sit for these examinations are hereby directed to note the following:

Application Form can be obtained at the cost of =N=5,000.00 from any of the outlets shown below:

(i) Preliminary Stage
Parts I-III (100-300 level) - =N= 15,000.00/level
(ii) Intermediate Stage
Parts I-III (400-600 level) - =N= 17,000.00/level
(iii) Final Stage
Parts I-III (700-900 level) - =N= 20,000.00/level
A candidate wishing to sit for any of the above parts or levels and carryover paper(s) should pay appropriate fees into NITP
TOPREC Examination Board’s Account No. 6014522171 at any Zenith Bank Plc in Nigeria. The candidate should present the
deposit slip at the appropriate outlet where an official receipt will be issued to him/her
Those who have paid the old fees must pay the balance before sitting for the Examination
3. Examination Dates:
(i) Period: - Monday, 22nd to Saturday 27th August, 2011
(ii) Time: - 9:00am to 12:00 noon: 2:00pm to 5:00pm
4. Eligibility
i. All candidates should note that they have to pass ALL papers in each level before they can proceed to the next level.
ii. Registered student members of NITP who have paid their current annual dues are eligible to sit for these examinations.
iii. This examination is for holders of ND and HND in Town Planning and holders of B.sc. in other relevant disciplines. Note
that holders of ND and HND who have been registered as Technicians and Technologists respectively need to write this
examination to qualify them to become professionals.
5. Closing Date
All completed application forms together with evidence of payment (teller) for form(s) and examination fees must be returned
to the Secretary NITP-TOPREC Examination Board at the above address and not later than Friday, 31st July, 2011.

ENTRY POINTS FOR HND AND B.SC HOLDERS:
Candidates with HND from planning schools that have not been accredited should start from 700 level
Candidates with B.Sc in all other related disciplines that are not Town Planning should start from 700 level.
HND graduates from NBTE accredited schools should start from 800 level but must first register with TOPREC as
Technologist.
ND graduates in Town Planning Should start from Intermediate Stage (400 level).
WAEC/NECO/GCE with six credits in relevant subjects should start at preliminary stage((100 level)).
