Family update
Hello friends.
It has been a very busy month for us! Since we have closed on our house Ryan has been spending most all of
his free time working on the new house, painting and doing repairs. Ryan still has some things to do on the
house as well as our contractor. Please pray for the work on the house to go quickly and smoothly. We were
hoping to move into the house before the baby is born, but we’re not sure if that is going to be possible. We
have been blessed this month with all the interns and friends who have come over to help us work on the house!
We are excited about how the house is coming along, it is going to be a nice place to live once it is done!!! We
can’t wait. I (Sally) am in my last couple weeks of pregnancy, he’s due Dec 11th. So far everything has gone
well, the baby is growing and doing well. Please continue to pray for my pregnancy and for the delivery and
birth. Pray that this baby boy would come at the right time! There are still a few things that we need for the
baby, take a look at our registry at Target if you are interested in getting a little something for the baby, check
out our blog for the link. The boys are doing well, enjoying playing in the backyard of the new house and
having fun doing different arts and crafts. Please pray for them as we have some big changes and transitions
that are about to happen, with the move and the baby. December 20 is the last day of the onething internship,
pray for the interns these last couple weeks and as they go home and move on to different things. Most of the
guys from Ryan’s core group are going to come back and attend IHOPU. Then the next internship starts up
again in mid January.
onething Conference 2011
This December 28-31 IHOP-KC is hosting our huge youth conference! We are anticipating around 25,000
people to attend this event. This year’s theme is Jesus our magnificent obsession. This conference will be
centered on teaching and expressing the importance of knowing the Man Christ Jesus and seeing Him for
who He really is. The Apostle Paul had a glimpse of who He was and stated: “I count all things loss for the
excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:8) Meaning that there was nothing that could
compare to truly knowing Jesus. Jesus is the most magnificent and captivating Man to ever walk the earth.
We have so much to learn about the depths of this Man, and yet we are not searching Him out like we
should. Once we have a breakthrough in revelation of who Jesus is, it will greatly impact our lives
and the people around us. The revelation of His excellence and magnificence is the sustaining
power of our hearts and the transforming power in our ministry to others. Transforming hearts and
cities with God’s justice through encountering Jesus. Our culture does not do a very good job in
portraying who Jesus really is, it is time that He is receiving the glory due His name and for people
to encounter Him in radical ways. As we see more of who Jesus really is, we will willingly serve
Him and give our lives to Him, knowing that He is worthy and that He is good. Seeing the King in
His beauty and glory (Isaiah. 33:17) is an essential part of seeing the kingdom increase on earth as it
is in heaven. We encourage you to search out the depths of Jesus Christ. We invite you to come out
to Kansas City this December to encounter Jesus through extended times of worship, teaching of
the Word, and ministry in the power of the Spirit. Our primary aim is to encounter Jesus, so that we
might go forth to do His works and change the world. Visit www.ihop.org/onething for more
information and to register for FREE! The conference will also be available to watch over the web
stream at www.ihop.org. We are excited about what the Lord is going to release during this
conference, the teachings and worship sessions are going to be amazing. Please be praying for this
event, the coordination of it all and that people would be touched and have their lives impacted
through this conference.
December is a great time to give end of year donations for tax deductions. If you are in need of a tax
deduction for 2011 or desire to sow into our ministry we encourage you to make a check payable to IHOP-
KC and mail it back to us. We know that the Lord blesses those who cheerfully give!
