STUDENT MYTIME/KRONOS QUICK GUIDE/INSTRUCTIONS

Name: ___________________________________My Time Username (person id) ________________

My Time Password: Your initial password is your last name, in lower case. If your last name is less than 5 characters, the word pass

is added to the end of your name. For example, if your last name is Lee, your initial password would be leepass.

HOW TO LOG ON

1. Go to the web address https://mytime.wisc.edu/wfc/logon

2. Make sure that you have disabled any pop-up blocking software on your computer. You will also need to have

the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and JRE version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_10-b03) loaded on your

computer (see IT support if you don’t already have these).

3. Enter your username and password (above). You will be required to change your password the first time you log

on. Your password must be a minimum of 5 characters and should include numeric characters. Do not include

special characters (!, $, *, etc.).

4. If you become “locked out” contact your supervisor or department payroll coordinator. Your password will be

reset to your last name in lower case.

HOW TO RECORD/ENTER MY TIME Entry Mode: Time Stamp

1. The timestamp screen will be displayed in the work space. If not, click Time Stamp in the Navigation Bar.

2. For each day worked, select your Appointment/Job by clicking Search in the Transfer drop-down menu.

3. Select Appt-Job radio button & your Appt #, job title & person ID # (username) will appear in the box on the

left. If you have more than one job, highlight the one for which you are entering hours worked. Click OK.

4. NOTE: Failure to properly select a Transfer for every shift you work could result in an error and delay

payroll processing. *If your job title does not appear, contact your supervisor or the department payroll

coordinator.

5. Then click on the Record Time Stamp. Time is recorded to the appointment/job displayed in the Transfer box.

Click only once to prevent duplicate punches.

6. To Punch Out, click Record Time Stamp button. The time of the Out punch displays. Do not select your

appointment/job when punching out. Click only once to prevent duplicate punches.

7. If ERR APPT or ERR PERSON appears in the Transfer box, contact your supervisor.

8. Time Stamp should only be done on the designated computer(s) in your employing department.

HOW TO PRINT TIMECARD

1. To "Print" your timecard, click “My Reports„, then “Time Detail”, “File”, “Print”.

2. If you notice any mistakes AFTER you've printed your timesheet, you must contact your supervisor and/or

department payroll coordinator to make any necessary edits – you cannot edit your timecard.

3. All timecards need to be completed by the close of each pay period. *Timecards will NOT be processed

(nor paid) if this deadline is not met.

HOW TO LOG OFF
