Candy Cane tri-bead Give each student half a piece of pipe cleaner.
pattern ornament Read, copy, and extend the patterns to create the tri-bead
candy cane ornaments. Use any color beads—they all look

When finished, use a hot glue gun at each end to hold the beads
in place.

will cut out and glue together. Glue four 3½‖ x ½‖ white
strips of paper to form star pattern. Place white hole
reinforcers at each end. Glue cotton at end of mitten.

Shape and Color Use with Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?
Booklet Click here to print the Shape and Color booklet. Print pages
back to back: page 1/3 and page 2/4.
Click here for the shape and color pieces. Each student
should get one of each shape. Each sheet can be cut for 3
students. Student will read story, color, cut out, and glue the
shape that matches to each page.
Snowman Candle Purchase candles. Use white acrylic paint, make three
thumb prints with paint to create snowman. Create 3 snow-
men. When white paint dries, use paints to finish snowmen
by adding eyes, nose, mouth, hats, scarves, mittens, etc.
Send home as gift with snowman card below.
Snowman Card Fold 1 piece of construction paper in half to form 1/2 fold card. Draw a
snowman pattern onto front of card and cut out. Cut out poem and glue
to inside of card. (Click here for poem.) Cut out clear contact paper to
fit onto front of card. Apply to inside front of card where the sticky
side is out. (You can touch the sticky contact paper where the snowman
is cut out.) Use waxy paper to cover until ready to finish. When ready
to finish, take off waxy paper. Add sequins for design. Sprinkle with
white glitter. Cut out clear contact paper to cover front of card.
Apply to front of card to contain sequins and glitter.
Snowman to Scissors Idea from Mailbox Magazine
Fold white paper and draw lines as shown above. Have students
cut the lines (but not to the edge). Roll the paper from one end
to the other to form a tube. Glue the paper in place. Add eyes,
nose, mouth, scarf, etc. Add yarn at top for hanging.

(torn paper craft) Print pattern on cardstock and cut out. Trace onto any
colored construction paper. Students will tear white paper
and glue to paper.
Spider Counting Use with Little Miss Muffet poem. Click here to print booklet.
Booklet Each student will need 15 spiders. The spider printout has enough
spiders for 2 students. To make booklet print out 2 copies of each
number page and 1 of each cover page (Mr. and Miss). Stack the pages
together to form cover page, page 1, page 2, page 3, page 4, page 5.
Staple each corner of the paper.
Cut the paper in 1/2 and 1/2 again.
When finished you should have 4 booklets ready.
Students will cut out spiders to match sets of spiders to number on
page.
Squirrel
Sunflower We made these for Mother’s Day. The children gave them
to their mom and sang You Are My Sunshine.
Supplies: small terra cotta pots, plant foam, florist wire,
sunflower die cuts, cardstock leaves.
The picture of the student is on both sides. We wrote the
year on the leaf.

Poem brown. Paint each finger any bright color such as red,
yellow, orange, green. Keep fingers together but stick
thumb out. Press hand down on paper. When paint dries add
eye, beak, wattle, and feet.
