Movie Making - Beginners

Prerequisite Skills Please bring your digital video camera and a laptop to the
training session.
Course Outline This is a course for those new to movie making with
children. During the day you will be introduced to the
basics of scripting, storyboarding, framing camera shots,
shooting and editing a film. You will use Windows Movie
Maker Software (available on Windows XP).
Course Outcomes You will:
Collaborate to shoot a film
Work on the editing and post production of the film
Acquire the basic skills and knowledge you need to
make a film with your children that you will then be
able to submit to the Cambridgeshire Young People’s
Film Festival Awards
