Title: Navy ERP… the Single Supply Solution
I want to provide a quick update on our Single Supply Solution initiative in Navy ERP
1.1.
After completing our final milestone, User Acceptance Testing or UAT, we have a green
light to implement the Single Supply Solution, one of the most important initiatives
within the Naval Supply Systems Command.
The entire team has done a superb job and we are ready.
The Single Supply Solution is loaded in the Navy ERP Production System and we are
about to begin the “Go Live” process where we will cutover support for “Material Group
I,” the first six Integrated Weapon Systems Teams at our Naval Inventory Control Point,
to the ERP platform.
The NAVICP team has been a tremendous partner throughout this entire effort. I am
confident that their expertise and commitment, along with the expanded Navy ERP team,
will successfully carry us through the transition and the changes that will begin in just a
short period of time.
Go Live is a process. This is the first step. Five months from now the next 40 percent, or
Material Group II, will transition into the Navy ERP environment. Following this,
Material Group III, the last 40 percent of NAVICP’s business, will move into production.
With these implementations and subsequent cutovers happening throughout the supply
system, we will achieve a new level of performance in end-to-end supply chain
integration and be prepared to support our warfighters into the future with a state-of-the-
art business and logistics system.
2010 is a historic time to be a part of Navy supply. The Single Supply Solution is truly a
remarkable accomplishment for NAVSUP, the entire Navy ERP team, and the Navy.
For the hundreds of NAVSUP employees who have worked countless hours in making
this become a reality, you have my sincere thanks for your dedicated efforts. Each of you
should be proud of your role in this tremendous achievement. Thank you.
