SENIOR JOB PROGRAM
BECOMES LIFE SAVER! Stacey Kass, Office for the Aging Programs
Coordinator, said many seniors who come to
her for help have not been employed for a long
period of time and some have never been
employed.
“They think no one will hire them, but they do
have skills,” Ms. Kass said. “They have an
incredible work ethic. A lot of time they just
need help with computer skills.”
The employment program partners with non
profit organizations and government agencies
to employ seniors. Participants get on- the –
job training for a year, and are often offered
permanent positions afterward.
