Grayson County Fair Beauty Pageants

The Grayson co. Fair Beauty Pageants will be held on Wed. Sept. 1, 2010 at 5:30. The
pageant will take place in the large pavilion behind the grandstands at the fairgrounds.
The entry fee is $10 for all categories except Little Miss and Mr. The cost for Little Miss and
Mr. is $15 per child. All contestants must pay gate admission.
Contestants may wear pageant dress or Sunday best. Contestants are not judged based on
their clothing. Little Miss and Mr. MAY NOT WEAR PAGEANT WEAR OR TUXEDOS!!
Applications are available at The Karat Kase Jewelers located in the Southgate Mall in Leitchfield.
Please fill out your registration form and leave it at The Karat Kase. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ENTRY
FEE AT THE KARAT KASE!!! ALL ENTRY FEES WILL BE TAKEN AT THE FAIRGROUNDS!!!!!
ALL REGISTRATION FORMS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF OUT OF TOWN CONTESTANTS
SHOULD BE RECEIVED BY SATURDAY AUGUST 28 AT 12 NOON CST. ( Little Miss and Mr. is
CLOSED to Grayson Co. residents only. All other categories are open.)
THIS WILL CUT DOWN ON CONFUSION AND WAIT TIME AT THE FAIRGROUNDS THE NIGHT
OF THE PAGEANT!!
Each category will pay entry fees and pick up numbers at a specific table at the pageant. Please look
for the sign designating your category.
This year categories have been given specific times for appearance on stage. Please arrive 30 minutes
before your category is scheduled to appear on stage.
The following is a list of categories and times. All times are approximate. Every effort will be made to
stay on schedule. If your category doesn’t go on at the exact time listed, please be courteous.
Categories 0 -36 months will appear on stage in small groups. Categories 37-48 mos. And above will
walk individually on stage. Little Miss and Mr. contestants will answer an on-stage question.

Boys and Girls (boys will appear before girls)
0-6 mos. 5:30
7-11 mos. 5:45
12-23 mos. 6:00
24-36 mos. 6:30
37-48 mos. 7:00
4-6 Little Miss and Mr. 7:30 (4 year olds must reach their 5th birthday by June 30th of 2011 and
cannot reach their 8th birthday by July 1, 2011.
7-9 8:00
**You must arrive 30 minutes before your category. We will not wait for contestants that are late
excluding extreme circumstances.**

The Little Miss and Mister is a state preliminary pageant. The winners of this group will represent
Grayson Co. at the state pageant. Please note if your child wins this category they will be expected to
compete at the state pageant. The Little Miss and Mister pageant is held each year at the Ky. State Fair
in August.
