Subject: Letter of Recommendation - Miranda Odom
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter to provide background information regarding Miranda Odom and
the work she has done for me over the past few years. Miranda first began work with me
when I was the Dean of the School of Business and Technology at Kaplan University
Online in the latter part of 2002. I hired Miranda to institute a classroom monitoring
process for the 100+ classes I had under my area of responsibility. Miranda brought
exceptional organization and creativity to the position. She made the position her own
and developed it into a recognized necessity throughout the college, eventually fostering
other schools to adopt the process and hire their own monitors. Miranda continued her
growth in the position and eventually served as my administrative assistant before
moving to a similar role for one of the other schools within Kaplan when I left the
University in late 2003.
In addition to her role at Kaplan, Miranda assisted me in the design and testing of several
web-based applications during the period from 2002 – 2004. In this capacity, Miranda’s
attention to detail and her flair for good design practices and software usability were all
beneficial in the work she provided. Miranda also provided some assistance in a
contracting role for others during that time period, although I cannot personally attest to
the work that was done. I can, however, without reservation recommend Miranda for
positions requiring a self-starting individual with the ability to learn new skills quickly, or
where attention to detail and organization are needed.

be happy to provide more information.
