The Bridge is a positive lifestyle support group designed especially for adolescents.
At the weekly drop-in sessions, teens come together from all areas and backgrounds.
Teens facilitate the group and their input and suggestions are used to plan meetings and events.
Renee Pinardo, an original group member who helped launch The Bridge in 1979, has been critical to the program’s
success and now serves as the director of this nationally-recognized program.

Marianne Hieb, RSM, a Sister of Mercy, directs the Wellness Spirituality Program at
Lourdes Wellness Center. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts from Catholic University and a
Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Direction from Graduate Theological Foundation. She is a
registered art therapist specializing in sculpture and painting, a certified expressive
