MAUI JIM® SUNGLASSES CONQUERS HOLIDAY ROUTES
Maui Jim Sunglasses has been almost overwhelmed by the growth of the brand
in travel retail during 2007and particularly at the holiday airports of Europe and
the Middle East.
Maui Jim produces the most advanced sunglasses in the world which combine
contemporary styling with optimum eye protection. The range is constantly
updated and boasts outstanding technical features such as ultra-light lenses,
hingeless frames and Maui Jim's unique PolarisedPlus2® lens technology which
ensures the brand's star status among sportsmen and women worldwide.
"The feedback has been excellent," enthused a weary Martine Larroque, Duty
Free Manager Europe & Middle East, as she took a short break from her travels.
"In addition to new listings all over the region, Maui Jim is expanding its allocated
space in several duty free shops due to the great response."
Since January 2007 Maui Jim has successfully entered travel retail outlets in
Cyprus, Amsterdam Schiphol, Dublin, the new S3 Terminal in Paris, and all DFS
UK retail outlets including those at Luton, Stansted, Gatwick and Manchester,
popular airports for holidaymakers. Maui Jim is also featured on Harding Brothers
cruise lines and by the end of November will be in Moscow Vnukovo, Moscow
Domodedovo and Kiev.
Similar success in the Middle East has produced Maui Jim listings in Egypt
Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, Dubai Duty Free, Bahrain Duty Free and by the
end of this month in Qatar Duty Free.
Exhibited for the first time in Europe at TFWA World Exhibition this month will be
four new styles which have fully adjustable bridges and nosepads for added
comfort - a winner with customers with wider faces. The new styles are classic
aviator ‘Akoni’ (MJ117) with metal frame and patented SuperThin™ glass and the
cool universal bridge ‘Hibiscus’ (MJ134) both available in three lens colours: Maui
Rose®, Neutral Grey, HCL® Bronze. There are also the ’Nunui’ (MJ512) and the
‘Maka’ (MJ513) in the latest shield style with a single wraparound lens in grey or
bronze.
