To establish guidelines in order to maintain a roster of personnel for emergency callback
and other official uses.
It is the policy of the Norfolk State University Police Department that all personnel
maintain on file in the Office of the Chief of Police, their current name, marital status,
and address of their residence and phone number.
1. Upon employment, all personnel shall furnish their name, marital
status, address of their residence, personal phone number and
emergency contact name and phone number to the Chief of Police.
2. Any change in marital status, address of residence or phone
number shall be forwarded to the Chief of Police within 24 hours
of that change.
3. Temporary change of address or residence or phone number that is
anticipated to exceed 48 hours, excluding vacations, shall be
forwarded to the Chief of Police.
4. No member of the Norfolk State University Police Department
shall release, without authorization from the employee in question,
any address or phone number to any person outside the
department. The information shall be treated as confidential at all
