REPORTING SCHEDULE FOR STATISTICAL RETURNS 1999-2000

FULL VERSION

1. This schedule covers the period from July 1999 to June 2000. Not all the forms listed may be required from every reporting institution. In particular, those

banks with footings below £600mn and Eligible Liabilities below £60mn are not normally required to complete forms BE, AL, AD and QX. Other

common exceptions are covered in the footnotes. Individual reporting institutions which have been requested specifically by the Bank of England not to complete

certain forms, or to complete forms less frequently or at different days from those shown below, should continue to follow their special arrangements. Banks

wishing to receive details of their own particular reporting schedule should write to the Monetary & Financial Statistics Division (Domestic Banking Statistics

Group).

2. The reporting date shown is the last calendar day of the month, including weekends and close holidays.

3. Reporting institutions are reminded of the importance of submitting all forms promptly. The date by which forms must be received by the Bank of England

excludes, for practical reasons, Saturdays, Sundays and close holidays. Reporting institutions should inform the Bank in advance of any difficulty they may have

in meeting a deadline; for statistical returns please contact the Monetary & Financial Statistics Division (0171-601 4544).

4. The FSA will produce a reporting schedule for the supervisory forms (BSD3, LE2, B7, L1, D1, Q6, S5, LR, S3, SLR1 and M1).

1. Form DQ should only be reported by those institutions advised by the Bank of England to do so. Form DM which is currently on hold has the same reporting

schedule as the Form BE. Form DM will not be activated without 6 months notice to participating banks.

2. Certain institutions which have been advised by the Bank of England to do so, should complete Forms A3 and BP on a quarterly basis. All other Form BT

reporters are required to complete these forms on an annual basis. The deadline for submission of these forms is 7 weeks from end-calendar quarter for quarterly

reporters, and 7 weeks from the reporting date or by end-April, whichever is the earlier, for annual reporters.

3. Form RSL should only be reported by those institutions advised by the Bank of England to do so.

4. Banks can report the Form BG at end-December or at their year-end. Banks have 2 months to complete this form except for end-March and end-April reporters,

who must submit this form by 19th May 2000.

5. Form B1 applies only to UK branches of banks whose head office is outside the EEA. Branches of certain banks whose head office is within the EEA may be

asked to complete form B1 for statistical reasons. Certain institutions which have been advised by the Bank of England to do so should complete Form B1 on a

quarterly basis. Other institutions should complete Form B1 on a semi annual basis at end June & end-December.

6. Form C1 applies only to UK incorporated instuitions under the Banking Act 1987. Certain institutions which have been advised by the Bank of England to do so

should complete Form C1 on a quarterly basis. Other institutions should complete Form C1 on a semi annual basis at end June & end-December.

7. All banks must report the Form H1(L) at end December regardless of their year-end.
