SUMMARY OF THE BATTLE OF SHILOH
The battle of Shiloh also knows as the battle of Pittsburg
was a major battle in the civil war. It was fought on April 6 and 7
in the year of 1862in southwestern Tennessee. The confederate
forces under the leader of General Albert s. Johnston almost beat
the union army by a surprise attack. The union army under the
lead of Ulysses s. Grant. The confederate army stuck the plan of
driving the union away from the Tennessee River to make the
union fall into the owl creek in the west. It was a confusing
battle for the confederate and there leader died on the first day
of the battle. The confederate were forced to retreat the battle
because the unions liked up with W.H.L Wallace’s division and
laid down hard cannon fire so they retreated.
