MAUI JIM® SUNGLASSES SEES NEW LISTINGS IN ASIA
Unrivalled lens technology, top quality construction and distinct frame styles have
secured a listing from this month for Maui Jim® Sunglasses with Lotte Duty Free
Shops at Incheon International Airport in South Korea. There are also new
listings for the collection with Nuance Watson in Hong Kong and DFS in Macau.
The news comes hot on the heels of the brand's successful launch last month at
Beijing and Shanghai airports in China with Sunrise Duty Free.
In addition, Maui Jim is delighted to announce that the innovative Maui
Readers®, off-the-shelf bifocal reading sunglasses in three strengths and a
choice of frames, are to be listed with ETC at Duty Free Philippines.
The Asian market is known to appreciate technical excellence in eyewear at
which Maui Jim is a market leader. All Maui Jim Sunglasses benefit from the
unique patented PolarizedPlus®2 lens technology which protects the eye from
harmful UV and all types of direct, reflected and bounce-back glare.
Maui Jims come in a range of over 70 styles from classic to sport, many of which
are designed to fit the Asian customer.
Ben Arriola, Maui Jim's Manager Duty Free Sales Asia and Australasia: "We are
delighted to be working with these high profile duty free and travel retail operators
and we look forward to more exciting developments in Asia.
"The great appeal of Maui Jim Sunglasses over our competitors is that the lenses
provide fantastic protection from UV and glare. In addition, the sports styles suit a
wide variety of active pursuits and our new styles, especially, are suitable to the
Asian wearer's face shape which in places like Korea is particularly important.
Such superior quality and versatility give Maui Jim a real competitive edge."
