P2- The main tissue types of the body and the role these play in tow
                         named organs in the body

                     Epithelial Tissue
What is epithelial tissue?
this is when the tissue covers the surface of the body. This is made up with cells
that are closely combined and have more than one layer. It covers the lining or
external and internal surfaces of the body.

The epithelial tissues are very tight and have no space between them and if they
do it is something really small. The epithelial tissue helps protect underlying
tissue from harmful chemicals bacteria invading and also water loss.

There are two parts to the epithelial tissue simple and compound.
Simple is a single layered tissue which rest on the bottom of the membrane.
Compound is when there is more than 2 layers and the deepest layer is at the
   bottom of the membrane.

              Simple Cuboidal Epithelium.

Cuboidal epithelium are square or cuboidal shape. The
cells have spherical nucleus in the centre. It is found in
glands and the lining of the kidney and also creates a
covering for the ovaries. This layers organs to help
        protect them.

             Simple Columnar Epithelium

• Columnar epithelium is usually in a Colum shape. It is found in the lining of
the stomach and intestines. Also in the throat it helps push the mucus to the
top of your throat to trap out mucus. The main function of the columnar is
the protect. It makes a barrier in the stomach and intestines to trap out
    bacteria getting in.

           Simples squamous epithelium.

• Squamous epithelium is a thin flat square shape. They are tightly held
together. The simple squamous epithelia helps to decide what is able to
move from the lumen and into the bloodsteam. It is found in the mouth heart
    and lungs.

                    Simple Ciliated Epithelium

• Simple ciliated epithelium is a rectangle shape with and it has lots of hairs
on top which is called the cilia. Ciliated epithelial cells are found in the
tracheal and bronchial. It helps keep away mucus.

        Compound keratinized epithelium

• This refers to the out layer of the skin cells when they become hard and die.
This layer protects the tissues underneath and it stops substances passing
in. keratinized epithelium is found in animal cells.

Skeletal muscle- it is attacked to

                                                  several nuclei. It is voluntary.

Smooth muscle- they are found in
                         blood vessels, the stomach,
                         intestines, and bladder. Smooth
muscles are involuntary. Its is slow.

                     Nervous Tissue
• These are cells that help you sense and respond to changes in the
environment like light, pressure and chemicals in food. There are two types
    of nervous tissues.
• Neurones- they carry information from the brain around the body. It signals
your brain when you want to do something and you get a fast response.
    This called a reflex action.
