ADDENDUM NO. 4:
Follow up questions to Addendum No. 3:
1) HCSD says it "believes" there are wiring rooms in each facility --- can anyone give us a
There are wiring rooms in each facility. However, I can not advise whether or not
there is sufficient room for additional wiring.
4) a. HCSD references "the existing network connectivity that the Sheriff's department
has". What is this existing network?
Any connectivity will be with the systems listed in the RFP.
b. HCSD "doesn't think" that it is connected to TEXAN III --- can anyone give us a
We are not connected.
5) We will need a list of each agency's/outside contact's address and phone numbers. Until
we are sure of what the Sheriff's existing network connectivity is, we are moving forward
under the assumption that we will need to provide this network connectivity.
For the purposes of the medical records bid, vendor may assume there exists no
network capabilities. This could be wrong.
8) We are still having problems understanding HCSD's response. When does HCSD expect
the FSD to be delivered? Are we correct that it is a deliverable of the project and not part
of the bid response? (Much of what is listed as being part of the FSD will be addressed in
our response but there are elements that cannot be answered without a gap analysis or
The FSD is a separate issue that will be delivered as part of the contract. However,
the response to the RFP must provide specific information about how the vender will
address specific issues. If vendor delivers an open architecture product, connections
can be made when they become needed.

1) To date we have not received a very clear description of the network infrastructure of the
facility. Can we be provided a clear description and block diagram of the entire network
If any blueprints exist of physical structure, Facilities and Property Management
would have to provide them. These diagrams would show all wiring and conduit.
2) Are there any interface specifications for the existing systems in place?
We have provided vendors with names of individuals to contact regarding existing
systems. The contacts can better answer questions about interface specifications. Also,
if I forgot to give you the name of the person for MHMRA, I am sorry. The contact
person is Bill Mitchell, (713) 970-7000.
