Asp.net 1.1 Interview Questions and Answers
Okay, I am a student. My assignment is to create A Web Application Project.
I am using VB.Net. I click file on the menu bar, then new, then project. When the New Project Dialog box opens I select
Visual Basic Project and ASP.NET Web Application. In the location field, I type in the location the book says to type in.
Now The Problem, As soon as I click OK, I get an error messages.
The web server reported the following error when attempting to create or open the Web Project located at the following
URL. http://localhost/Chapter6/Tutorials/WebA... HTTP: /1.1 403 Access Forbidden.
I click on the help menu and it states for me to contact the system administrator, doh, that is me.
So, I need to do my homework and I cannot :(
Please if there is anyone out there that can help me resolve this, I would be very appreciative.

If you get a 403 error message, then it's probably because you don't have permission to execute the ASP.NET
code contained within the page....
As you'll recall, permissions are controlled by the properties of the virtual directory that contains the ASP.NET
page. To change these properties, you'll need to start up the IIS admin snap-in in the MMC, as we described
earlier in the chapter. Find the BegASP.NET virtual directory in the left pane, right-click on it and select
Properties....

I have a home-based business as a Slumber Parties consultant, have had no issues getting on the distributor part of the

I need to embed Workflow functionality, and need to do this in a cost effective manner, as this application is for resale.
I now have follow up questions:
Q1: As WWF is only available on ASP 2.0, I would have to compile my 1.1 application using ASP 2.0 is this
straightforward? Are there any expected challenges?
Q2: When embedding the workflow, is it easy to give the “non technical - business users” the ability of defining new

Answer :: Q1: Actually, Windows Workflow Foundation is a .NET 3.0 technology, not a .NET 2.0 technology, so
you need to scale up even more.
Some objects in ASP 1.1 are gone or significantly changed in ASP 2.0, and some ASP 1.0 objects are gone or
significantly changed in ASP 3.0. Whether that affects you depends on your code. There's no way to say for
sure.
2. It depends on the structure of your application. If properly structured, yes, that shouldn't be an issue.

You have to choose one.
If you want to run on .net 2 there are several things to be done.
