Abrams Technical Services, Inc. contracted out to ABB Lummus Global Inc.,

worldwide engineering services company with revenues for 2002 of $1.48 billion

• Increased company exposure in major trade publication after successfully negotiating ad space in key

issue after management had missed the deadline. Designed, wrote and produced a one page ad from 5

pages of material supplied by management.

• Generated new client contacts and sales by taking on a key role in new service introduction through

development of ads, brochures, sales sheets, posters, presentations and other promotional materials.

Design and content coordination with senior sales management team and engineers.

• Quality and efficiency in production: prepared mock-ups and specs; obtained estimates; selected

vendors; ensured that work had been reviewed; prepared files for electronic release; checked color

proofs and attended press side proofing.

ABB Lummus Global Inc.

• Created consistent and professional company image that had clients taking notice. Supervised, designed

and developed graphics for the marketing and communication efforts: ads, brochures, product sheets,

newsletters, illustrations, presentations, logos, signs, organization charts, web site material, proposals,

seminars, trade shows, posters and displays.

• Increased photo quality by selecting, acquiring photography or directing photo shoots. Scanned and

retouched photos.

• Supported and supervised the Proposal Department in the designing of quality proposals and

presentations that were delivered by senior executives to major clients.

• Helped land a major client by designing presentations in the Russian language in partnership with a

translator.

• Realized annual savings of $250,000 by building and managing an in-house graphics department.

Assessed their needs, ordered the equipment and software, set up and installed the software and then

producing the majority of the marketing and promotional material. Company benefited with a 75%

reduction in turn-around-time and the ability to make changes on site for meetings that were about to

begin.

• Eliminated redundancy and reduced cost. Created a unified corporate ID program and designed various

vehicles to communicate Lummus standards to the employees worldwide. Checked and insured that

corporate identity requirements were being followed.

• Cost savings gained and computer system down time was reduced by 90% in the Proposal Department

by the following: Researched, planned, secured approval, ordered equipment and software, installed and

maintained Mac workstations for this department. Trained employees on the operation of equipment and

software. Repaired or corrected Mac computer system and software problems.
