4.0 Welcome Remarks
Jeneane Quist welcomed all members to the new term and introduced herself,
giving a little information on her position as the YAC coordinator and what
Riverside County expects from YAC.

6.0 Council Business
Recommendation
6.1 School Updates Report
There is a back to school dance being held, a football game the
coming Friday in Indio, and ASB cards are being sold.
6.2 YAC Policies Update
Jeneane Quist announced that if you are a YAC member you are
representing the Riverside County and need to act and dress
respectfully and appropriately. If you have 3 unexcused absences
you will no longer be a YAC member. Further explanation will be
given at the interview.
6.3 2011-2012 YAC Goals Action
To work on improving the community through recycling and trash
clean up.
To help the homeless that live in the Riverside County.
Spread awareness of human trafficking
Support Operation SafeHouse
To Support Cancer Research
To support Special Needs children
To work with the Blythe Nursing Home

6.4 2012 Youth Summit Topics Action
Topic was accidently skipped.
6.5 September Service Project Action
Cemetery Clean Up September 17 at 7am.

Operation SafeHouse “Stuff the Bus” items drive
6.6 October Service Project Action
Haunted House, donate cans/no perishable food items to get
in. Maybe held at high school cafeteria or Library. The
members voted to bring their own decorations.
October 22nd Steps for the cure. YAC will be raising money
and participating in the event.
6.7 Upcoming Coachella Service Projects Update
Resturaunt Fundraiser
Citrus collection Drive
Care packages for east coast hurricane victims
Relay for life
Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade
Trick or treating for canned goods.
7.0 Commission Business
7.1 Commission Meeting Update
The Youth Commission training will be held on September 15th, at 5pm in
Riverside. But Blythe Commissioners will be meeting across the street at the
Riverside County office.
The first Youth Commission Meeting for this term will be held on September 15,
at 5:30pm at the County Administrative Center in Riverside. All YAC members
are invited to attend these meetings, if you would like to attend please contact
Jeneane.
