ARE YOU TIRED OF SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY ON PAPERBACK BOOKS
AT THE BOOKSTORE? Here’s your chance to exchange your old books for some
new ones! If you have any books that you have already read and no longer want,
bring them to Mrs. Scharch in the Counseling Office. There will be a trade-off day
in June.
JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Woodbury University in Burbank is offering tuition-
free, Introduction to Graphic Arts. Receive college credit! This class will run from
June 4 to August 12, 2 days a week, either Mondays and Wednesdays or
Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4:00p.m. to 7:45p.m.

GLENDALE HEALTHY FAMILIES PROGRAM IS OFFERING FREE TUTORING
FROM NOW UNTIL JUNE 16 AT THE ARMENIAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE OFFICES
ON CHESTNUT STREET NEAR THE AMERICANA. Classes are held on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons at 3 different times each day. They offer
help in Math, English, and History to students from low-income families. If you
are interested in attending this program please see Mrs. Samore in the
Counseling Office for an application.
ALL HOOVER STUDENTS: JOIN KEY CLUB! Make new friends and
meet people in the Glendale community, plus earn Community Service hours!
Key Club meets every Monday at lunch in Mr. Brogdon’s room #1208.

JONATHAN, HOOVER’S REPRESENTATIVE FROM CAL STATE L.A., IS IN THE
COLLEGE/CAREER CENTER EVERY TUESDAY. All students are welcome to stop
by with any questions about any of the Cal State schools.
ENRICHMENT SUMMER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS are now available in the
Counseling Office.
KEY CLUB IS HAVING A NEWSPAPER DRIVE! Hoover’s Key Club is
collecting newspapers and all proceeds go to GAR Services to benefit
developmentally disabled individuals in Glendale. The GREEN Collection Box is
outside of the Counseling Office. Let’s FILL THAT BOX!
