Notes: Full-time undergraduate students are registered for 12 or more hours. Full-time graduate students (including Law and Pharm. D.) are registered for 9 or more hours.
Beginning in fall 2009, the decrease in Liberal Arts enrollment was offset by an increase in Undergraduate Studies enrollment.
Beginning in fall 2007, the decrease in Pharmacy majors is due to the re-classification of Professional Pharmacy students previously listed as undergraduate.
Intercollegial Programs are administered by various schools and colleges. Not all programs appear every year. For those who need additional Intercollegial Programs data,

Notes: First-time freshmen include those entering students enrolled in the fall term who attended college for the first time in the prior summer term, as well as new fall entrants. Also included are entrants registered in
the parallel enrollment program and individual approvals.
For fall 2009 and fall 2010, there were no new freshmen offered summer admission.
Top 10% students are those in the Top 10% of their graduating class from high schools providing the Office of Admissions with explicit ranking information.
Includes both Texas residents and non-residents. Of the 7,275 entering freshmen for fall 2010, 6,535 were graduates of Texas high schools. The percentage of entering freshmen from Texas high schools
who were admitted under HB 588 (the Top 10% Law) was 84.9%.
Beginning in fall 2007, we have included the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) "Writing" scores for trend analysis, the SAT "Writing" scores were used for admission purposes beginning with the fall 2009 entering cohort.
The SAT national average is of all college-bound seniors.
0.0% represents less than 0.1%. Percentage totals may not equal 100.0% due to rounding.

Notes: First-time freshmen also include students registered in the parallel enrollment program and as individual approvals. Students entering during the summer semester through the Summer Freshman Admission,
Provisional, Preview, and Gateway Programs are reported as continuing and are excluded from these new freshmen counts.
Top 10% students are those in the Top 10% of their graduating class from high schools providing the Office of Admissions with explicit ranking information.
Includes both Texas residents and non-residents. Of the 7,109 entering freshmen for fall 2010 (excludes those entering in summer and continuing into fall), 6,376 were graduates of Texas high schools.
The percentage of fall-only entering freshmen from Texas high schools who were admitted under HB 588 (the Top 10% Law) was 85.2%.
SAT national average data are fall and summer entrants combined.

* The total attrition is the sum of students who were dismissed (for academic reasons) and those who dropped out.
Notes: This table follows students who are classified as first-time freshmen during the fall term of the specific academic year over the subsequent six years. Such students are full-time
(enrolled for 12 or more hours) and are in a degree-seeking program. First-time freshmen include those entering students in the fall term who attended college for the first time in
the prior summer term, as well as new fall entrants. Also included are individual approvals. Each vertical column represents an entering class; each horizontal row indicates the
progress attained after the indicated time lapse. Percentage totals may not equal 100.0% due to rounding.
