Moi aussie. I mean "me too". I've only ever heard "kaysh"

There's probably some Appalachian or other dialect in which cash or

cache
/kash/ for defs 1−−3 and 5 /kaysh/ for defs 4 and 6

1. a hiding place, especially one in the ground, for provisions, treasure, etc.
2. the store of provisions, etc., so hidden.
3. a store of food collected by some animals for the winter.
4. => cache memory

5. to put in a cache; conceal; hide.
6. Computers: to put into cache memory: this information is cached to increase speed.

cache memory
/'kaysh memree/
noun
1. a section of computer memory which can be accessed at high speed and in which information is stored for
fast retrieval.

Dragging out the hard copy of the Fourth Edition (boy, that's so much heavier than the First Edition), the
entries seem to be identical.
The First Edition didn't have the computer meaning.
