Shopping Bag Represents the Think Whitewater Buy Local campaign

to educate the community of Whitewater regarding the $430 million

dollars a year that leaks out of Whitewater and is spent in other

communities. About 7 months ago a group of local business owners,

community representatives and concerned citizens began a campaign

to bring a portion of this $430 million collars back to Whitewater.

Inosarto was the top student of the late Bruce Lee. He has 18 years

of Martial Arts experience.

Fort Health Care Paramedic is a program designed to assist EMS

Departments in the Jefferson County. This program is equipped with

medications and equipment you would find in the emergency

department. The vehicle is staffed with a Licensed Paramedic who

respond to the needs of the ill and/or injured bringing advanced

emergency medical care to the requesting EMS department.

UW-W Intercollegiate Athletics has a total of 20 sports

programs (9 male 11 female) with over 700 student - athletes.

We are celebrating 3 years of program success.

-Our student - Athlete Grade Point Average is 3.02:

-2 National Championships (Football 2007/2009)

-3 National Finalists (Volleyball, Softball and Football)

-6 individual National Champions:

-19 Conference Team Championships

-5 National Coaches of the year

C2 Darlene Malkow secretary for Cousin Otto's Clown Alley

Cousin Otto's Clown Alley celebrated its 39th birthday on April 1,

2010. We have appeared in many local parades as well as the Great

Circus Parade in Milwaukee. We meet the 1st Tuesday of every

month at the Community Action Bldg in Delavan. Come join us

C3 Barbara Converse

The Walworth/Jefferson Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance cares

for the portion of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail which passes

through the two counties. Members not only maintain the trail, but

also guide group hikes open to the public, present programs, and

supervise service groups with trail projects. The membership boasts 3

who have completed hiking the entire 1000+ mile state wide trail, 26

have won honors from the National Park Service for their

volunteerism, 12 "In The Mud" volunteers recognized for their trail

work, 3 have received the coveted "Spirit Stick" award presented by

the Ice Age Trail Alliance for outstanding service to the trail. Recently

the chapter has started a program to acknowledge those who hike the

entire 21 miles of trail it maintains and 5 miles of connecting roads. To

see how you can earn the "Kettle Trekker" Patch ask a member, pick

up a brochure from one of the sponsors,. or check out the kiosk at the

trail crossing on US HWY 12.

C4 Jennifer Lauer

The Southern Wisconsin Paranormal research Group was founded in

1999 by Jennifer Lauer. The group is based out of Janesville,

Wisconsin, but has investigated and documented paranormal

activities throughout the entire United States. We have been featured

in Newspapers, Magazines, Books and on television and Radio. The

group has also been the subject or 5 documentaries and film projects.

We also teach paranormal education classes at several colleges in

Illinois and Wisconsin. The curriculum is based on the book,

"Investigating the Haunted: Ghost Hunting taken to the Next Level"

which was co-authored by Jennifer Lauer and Dave Schumacher of

the SWPRG and it explores many of the advanced techniques and

technologies the SWPRG has contributed to the field. The goal of the

SWPRG is to bring creditability to the field of paranormal research

and to make a concerted effort to display the best evidence and

information that is possible.



Our Paranormal Investigation Team members are trained to use

scientific methods and information to conduct serious

paranormal investigations, which are comprised of conducting

research, developing and testing theories, producing data &

analysis-oriented results, providing resolution information, and

encouraging public understanding & awareness.





HORSES AND PONIES

H1 Sandy Olds

Hags on Nags were created in 2002 by a handful of women who

decided to greet middle age by reclaiming their common passion for

horses. Membership is now over 100 members ranging in age from

14 to 70 + years and as far away as Canada. Our monthly activities

include trail rides, parades, overnight camping benefit rides, tack

sales and clinics. Our main purpose is to create and grow lasting

friendships and to "be there" for each other.

H2 Mary Margaret Hoser

Mocha, a Standard bred 4-year old horse is experiencing his first

parade. He and his rider Brenda Knoll are costumed in Medieval

dress, Cinco de Mayo, a 4-year old pony, is enjoying his first parade.

His rider, Cullen 11 year old, and his companion, Elizabeth 13 years

old, are all dressed in Medieval costumes. Cinco de Mayo and Mocha

are owned by Mary Margaret Hosler of Green Acres rural Milton.

H3 Tomamitsu Family

Mother and Daughter of Whitewater, Wi. Nicole is 10 years old

riding Mocha. She is a 4th grader at Lakeview School. Tammy is

riding a horse named Ed.





MILITARY

M1 John Newhouse QM

Drives a 3/4 ton U. S. army Weapons Carrier owned by Phil Jones of

Elkhorn. VFW members and veterans are riding. Driven by Todd

Babcock of rural Whitewater and a VFW member. The VFW and Am

Legion ,DAV, ROTC, NAT Guard, Marine Corps League have all

been alerted to join a marching honor guard to lead off the 4th parade

in a massed color guard.

N1 Jerry Hartman

Have been in the parade since 1951 and want to keep the tradition

going as long as I can

N2 Studio 84

Studio 84 is a non for profit community art studio that provides

classes and workshops in the visual arts and theater for all ages and

all abilities. We also have a fantastic art gallery, with new exhibits

monthly. Check us out at "www.studio84inc.org" July's exhibit is

"veteran's art", honoring those veterans who are artists. Veterans

from around the state have submitted work for this exhibit. A

reception is being held Sunday, July 4 from 12-3. Exhibit ends July

23. Studio 84 is open Tuesday-Friday from 10-5 and is located at 121

W. Center St in Whitewater.

N3 League of Women Voters

Rock the Boat-Cast your vote in the Banner City! The Whitewater

LWV has been encouraging informed and active participation of

citizens in government since 1964. This year we celebrate the 90th

anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment- Women’s Right

to vote- and the formation of the national league in 1920. The goal of

the LWV is to empower citizens through education and advocacy.

my Grand Father Pinows car & when he passed away Grandma gave

Fred Smart from our church has not been able to drive his corvette

O6 Ronald Lang because of illness. Thought it would be a good gesture for hom to rice

in the car in the parade. Possibly with a church banner.

Gilbert Mawhinney and Mahinney Farms have been farming in

O7 Gilbert Mawhinney Johnstown for over 100 years. A hobby of Gibs is to restore Case

Tractors and collect "Old Abe" the eagle symbol of Case.

POLITICIANS

P1 Rick Richard for State Senate

Rick Richard for State Senate. Rick is a small business owner in

Janesville and was born and raised in southern Wisconsin. Rick

Richard is running to balance Madison's checkbook, he will work for

increasing family supported jobs in Whitewater and Rock County.

These issues are important to providing a bright future for us and our

children in Wisconsin.

P2 Steve Nass

State Representative Steve Nass 31st Assembly District

P3 Tim Cullen

Tim is running for State Senate in the 15th district because he wants

to help Businesses in our community grow, prosper, and add more

jobs. Tim wants to go to Madison with his only obligation being to the

voters, and he is not accepting money from corporations or public

action committees and will not accept any contributions over $250

dollars. Tim has served on the ECHO board of directors co-chaired

the General Morors retention task force, is board chairman of the

teacher diversity foundation, served on the Janesville School Board,

served as the Secretary of Wisconsin Department of Health and

Human services as state Senator from 1975-1987 including time as

Senate majority Leader. Cullen along with his wife Barb, founded and

fund the Tim Cullen Govermant Internship program for High School

students interested i governmant.

P4 St Rep Kim Hixon

Kim Hixon, an Associate Professor at UW Whitewater, has served in

the State Assembly since 2007. He is running for re-election this fall,

,

and he hopes to continue his service to Whitewater in the State

legislature

P5 David Graves Walworth Co Sheriff

Walworth County Sheriff, David Graves in a marked squad car, driven

by Undersheriff Kurt Picknell, Sheriff Graves has been Walworth

County Sheriff for 10 years. His hometown is Whitewater. He

graduated from Whitewater High in 1971. The Sheriff started his 38

year law enforcement career with the Whitewater Police Department

in 1972 as a police cadet.

YOUTH GROUP

Y1 Jeff Miles

The Youth wrestling club supports the efforts of the wrestlers in the

Whitewater area. The focus is on skill building and fun!

Y2 Minnieska Ski Team

This family orientated team has been entertaining on Whitewater lake

for 36 years. Come see our shows at the Scenic Ridge Campland.

Saturday night at 6:30. Our Theme this year is the Ski:over. (A takeoff

of the movie The Hang Over.)





Y3 Crosspointe Community Church

"Transformers" is the theme. Transform your area for Christ

Y4 Steve Taylor

The 7 foot long "Future Firefighters" truck was designed and built by

Lauderdale LaGrange Firefighter Steve Taylor in 1994 for his sons

Dan and Paul. They have enjoyed driving it for many years in parades

and giving rides to burned children at the burn camp at Timber Lee.

This year the truck will be driven by Steve's nephew Chris Dunham

and his daughter Emerson. Chris is also a Lauderdale LaGrange

firefighter. Following the truck this year are other children of

Lauderdale LaGrange firefighters. Have a happy 4th of July!
